The Ethiopian Church preserved the canon used by the early Church in the first centuries · before later Christian traditions narrowed it for various historical reasons. The 81-book "narrower canon" is what Ethiopian Orthodox laity read; a broader liturgical canon exists for clergy use and is not bound in standard editions.

Yes · it is the canonical Bible of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, the second-oldest continuous Christian church on Earth (after the Coptic). The additional 14 books are not "apocrypha" within the Ethiopian tradition; they are full Scripture.

We use a modern American English translation produced by Ethiopian Orthodox scholars working from the original Ge'ez manuscripts. Where the Ethiopian text differs from the Hebrew Masoretic or Greek Septuagint, translator footnotes are provided.

Jude 1:14–15 in the New Testament directly quotes the Book of Enoch as prophetic Scripture. Enoch has been preserved in full only by the Ethiopian Orthodox tradition; fragments exist in Greek and were among the Dead Sea Scrolls. In the Ethiopian canon it is Scripture.

Jubilees is sometimes called "Little Genesis" · an angelic retelling of Genesis and Exodus, also found among the Dead Sea Scrolls. Meqabyan I, II, and III are the Ethiopic books of Maccabees · distinct from the Greek 1–4 Maccabees, and unique to the Ethiopian canon.
